Design process

No two books are exactly the same...

...but the design process for all of them has some common parts.

First, I need to learn about your book, and about you as well. Not only the written content is important, but also things that are outside the pages that have an influence on the publication (things like it being a part of a series, or a broader theme that should be taken into consideration while choosing the form of the publication). This will allow to start the design process with cover and interior drafts.
When all the necessary information has been gathered, and drafting stage has been completed, the work can go full steam ahead. The book cover is reaching its final form, while the interior is being created in the layout program.
From the finished cover and interior all of the other materials can be created, so most importantly — the files that can be supplied to the publisher, but also all of the necessary marketing imagery.
